The name Specs Appeal sums up our frame selection. We do have “specs that appeal to everyone” . We have frames that match all life styles and budgets. We have well-known brands such as Michael Kors, Nike, Tura, and Vera Wang to name a few, along with many others.
Our knowledgeable staff takes the time to help patients choose an appropriate frame that compliments the patient’s personal style and their social and visual needs. We consider patient’s preferences, budget, and insurance while finding the best frame(s).
We strive to customize the lenses to the patient’s lifestyle based on occupation, hobbies, sports, outdoor needs, and other activities. We can create a lens that meets all of the patient’s requirements. This may include anti-reflective coating, different types of material and style of lenses. Transition lenses, and polarization are also options.
We pride ourselves on using the highest quality frames, laboratories, and lenses. In some cases, we can even process, prescription glasses “while you wait” since we have a laboratory onsite.
Our professional optician adjusts the frame to the patient’s nose, ears, and eye position to optimize comfort and visual accuracy. We also offer patients complimentary glasses adjustments as needed.
Facilities and Equipment
Fundus Camera– We use this camera to take photos of the inside of the eye to monitor long term changes and check vascular health, the optic nerve, vitrious jelly, and macular within the eye. This allows us the ability to catch diabetes, hypertension, a stroke, tumor, and many other conditions very early.
Auto Refractor–This machine provides an initial measurement of the shape of the eye, plus the prescription for distance glasses.
Topographer– We use this machine to get a mapping of the surface of the eye and check the health of the cornea. This is very helpful especially before and after LASIK surgery and PRK.
Digital Projector/Refractor– This technology provides the most precise prescription for the patient.
